English level proficiency of an international student applicant is one of the mandatory criteria for fulfilling any university’s entry requirements. The proficiency level required varies according to each university and the nature of the courses.
Most programs that require IELTS 7.0 no band less than 7.0 or above will not waive your English Language requirements based on prior studies as it may be required by the course accreditation body. These include programs such as Law, Medicine and Education.
If students have studied English in Year 10 or above or completed most of their education in English, they may not have to complete additional tests.
Should additional English requirements be needed, the University will indicate this in the offer letters as a required condition.
