What does an Intelligence & Policy Analyst do?

Intelligence & Policy Analyst collect and analyse information and data to produce intelligence and to develop and analyse policies guiding the design, implementation and modification of government and commercial operations and programs. The job duties of an intelligence & policy analyst include determine organisational and client intelligence requirements; ascertain the accuracy of data collected and reliability of sources; or conduct threat and risk assessments and develop responses.

Area of specialization may include criminal intelligence, defence intelligence, foreign policy etc.

How to become an Intelligence & Policy Analyst?

A Bachelor degree or higher is usually needed in order to work in this job. A strong background in Mathematics, Computers and Electronic is important. Sometimes experience or on-the-job training is needed in addition to a qualification.
