关于课程
ANU’s Master of History (online) draws on the university’s award-winning teaching and research strengths across Australian, Indigenous, environmental, ancient, and modern histories. The program provides advanced theoretical grounding and practical training, while allowing you to tailor study to your interests. It emphasises how history is used in the present, including memory studies and public/applied history, and can support progression to higher research degrees.
你可能学到什么
You will develop advanced historical thinking and research capability through higher-level coursework and compulsory research training. The degree builds skills in historiography, analysing evidence and debates, and communicating historical arguments clearly. It also strengthens transferable capabilities in writing, research design, critical reading, and presenting to different audiences, supporting work in education, public history, policy contexts and further research study.
职业成果
Graduates can apply advanced research and communication skills across roles where analysis, writing and interpretation are valued. Career pathways may include secondary education (history teaching focus areas), public history and heritage settings, museums and cultural institutions, research assistance, government and policy roles requiring historical context, publishing and media, and further study toward a higher degree by research in history-related fields.
Entry requirements
Applicants need either a cognate Bachelor degree (or international equivalent) with a minimum GPA of 5/7, or a Bachelor degree plus a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in a cognate discipline with a minimum GPA of 4/7. Applicants must also meet ANU English language requirements. Admission is competitive, so meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee an offer.
