The Bachelor of Midwifery (pre 2027) prepares you to support women/birthing people, babies and families through pregnancy, labour, birth and early parenting. Co-designed with industry, the program builds contemporary midwifery knowledge and hands-on capability using modern simulation labs and extensive clinical experience, with opportunities for rural placement exposure. This is an undergraduate midwifery qualification focused on woman-centred practice. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.

On completing the Bachelor of Midwifery (pre 2027), graduates can apply for registration as a midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA). Career pathways include hospital, community and private-practice midwife roles (including homebirth), as well as clinical midwife educator positions, midwifery management, research or policy work, and academic roles in midwifery education. This is a bachelor-level pathway into professional midwifery practice. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
