This three-year Bachelor of Criminology explores crime and responses to crime through multiple disciplinary perspectives. You examine how crime is defined and represented, the social, political and individual factors linked to offending, and how criminal justice institutions operate. The program emphasises critical thinking and evidence-based analysis, with topics such as policing, courts, prisons, punishment, organised and transnational crime, drugs and youth crime.

You will build a grounded understanding of criminological theories and contemporary debates, and learn to analyse crime as a social phenomenon. The degree develops critical reasoning alongside empirical research skills, including qualitative and quantitative methods. Entry requirements
Entry is based on meeting ANU undergraduate admission requirements. The indicative selection rank listed is ATAR 80 (or International Baccalaureate 30).
