The Master of Energy Change (Advanced) is a two-year, multi-disciplinary coursework and research degree focused on the transition to carbon-free energy. It draws on ANU expertise to cover scientific and technical foundations alongside policy, legal, environmental and regulatory dimensions. Students tailor study through advanced electives and a substantial research project, building capability to address complex climate and energy challenges at an advanced masters level in environmental science.

Entry requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor degree (or international equivalent) with a minimum GPA of 5.5/7.0. They also need at least 8 courses in a cognate discipline with a minimum GPA of 5.5/7.0. Progression to the research component requires achieving at least a 70% weighted average mark in the first 48 units of coursework and approval from an identified supervisor for the research project.
