QUT’s Master of Counselling develops advanced counselling knowledge and practical skills for contemporary therapeutic work. You’ll build a personalised, integrative and values-driven approach grounded in social justice and inclusion, drawing on frameworks such as trauma-informed practice, relational neuroscience and competency-based counselling. Study is delivered in a blended mode with online learning plus intensive on-campus sessions and applied practice experiences. This is a master’s coursework qualification in counselling.

Graduates are prepared for advanced counselling roles across community, health and wellbeing, education, government and not-for-profit settings. The course builds capability in collaborative counselling, group work and professional supervision, supporting work with individuals, families and diverse communities.
