Build on your experience as a Registered Nurse and transition to midwifery through JCU’s ANMAC-accredited Graduate Diploma of Midwifery. The program is delivered online in a multi-modal format and develops the theoretical knowledge and clinical capability needed to provide evidence-based, woman-centred care, including in rural and remote settings. This is a postgraduate Graduate Diploma in Nursing. The programme develops advanced clinical reasoning, health leadership, and evidence-based practice for complex care environments.

Graduates are prepared to work as a midwife in a range of maternity care settings, supporting women and families across pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. The qualification strengthens clinical confidence and readiness for practice in hospital maternity units and services that support rural and remote communities. This is a postgraduate Graduate Diploma pathway in Nursing. Preparing graduates for clinical leadership, health management, and advanced nursing or allied health specialist roles.
