关于课程
This four-year honours engineering degree focuses on building effective software systems for complex real-world domains such as transport, communications, finance, medicine and science. It takes a multidisciplinary, systems-oriented approach that combines technical development with understanding the socio-technical context of modern software practice. Students learn through theory, team projects with industry partners and practical work experience, with opportunities to explore innovation and entrepreneurship.
你可能学到什么
Students develop capabilities to design, construct and assure high-quality software systems using modern engineering and systems approaches. Learning emphasises software construction, requirements and design, databases, algorithms, quality and process management, human-computer interaction, and professional practice. The program also builds skills in managing uncertainty and risk, teamwork, communication, ethics, and applying systems thinking to complex socio-technical problems in industry and research settings.
职业成果
Graduates can pursue roles across sectors that depend on reliable, large-scale software. Typical pathways include software engineer, systems engineer, software developer, quality and process engineer, database or backend developer, and project or product roles in technology teams. The program’s systems focus supports work in complex environments such as government, defence, finance, transport, communications, health, and research organisations, including roles involving innovation and start-up development.
Entry requirements
Entry is based on an ANU admission rank. The published indicative requirements include an ATAR of 85 or an IB score of 33 (or equivalent). Applicants may also be eligible for adjustment factors, and must meet any listed prerequisites for the program.
