The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is a higher degree by research, completed through an independent project in the broad area of information technology. Over two years full time (or part-time equivalent), you work closely with a supervisory team to develop and complete a substantial thesis, or a creative portfolio supported by an exegesis. This masters by research builds advanced research capability in IT & Computer Science. The programme builds computing research capability across algorithms, intelligent systems, and emerging technologies with practical industry relevance.

It develops capabilities to plan and deliver a significant research project, communicate findings, and contribute original knowledge, and may provide a pathway to doctoral study.
