This Graduate Diploma provides a specialised coursework pathway into marine and Antarctic science, drawing on Tasmania’s location as a gateway to the Southern Ocean. You’ll build strong foundational knowledge with access to IMAS facilities and expert staff, and can tailor study through a Fisheries Management or Marine Biology stream. Field and study-trip style units connect learning with fisheries, aquaculture and marine research in Tasmania and beyond. The programme deepens scientific methodology, data interpretation, and applied research skills for laboratory and field-based careers.
