The Graduate Diploma in Music (Practical Music) is a one-year program for graduates from any discipline who want to undertake advanced practical music study. It focuses on developing instrumental, vocal or conducting technique to a level equivalent to a fourth year of study, alongside building sophisticated stylistic and interpretive awareness of repertoire. Students also broaden their training through ensemble electives and supporting studies such as music language, aural studies, and historical/cultural/contextual subjects.
