This Certificate III qualification prepares apprentices for mechanical engineering trade work in metal, engineering and manufacturing industries. It develops practical skills for fitting and assembly, manufacturing and installation, modification, testing, fault-finding, maintenance and servicing of mechanical equipment and machinery using machine tools. Delivery includes face-to-face, simulated workplace and workplace-based learning, and is undertaken through a Training Contract or formal trade recognition assessment. This is a Certificate III in mechanical engineering trades.
