ECU’s Graduate Certificate of Counselling Online is an accelerated course designed to build foundational counselling capability for people working in helping professions and community-based roles. You’ll explore major counselling modalities and develop person-centred, reflective practice skills that can be applied in real settings. The course is delivered fully online and can be completed in as little as six months as a Graduate Certificate in counselling. The programme develops advanced psychological assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based practice for professional settings.

This course supports career development for professionals who use counselling skills in people-focused roles across health and community services. Graduates may apply person-centred counselling approaches within settings such as nursing, social work, education and other community-based support roles, strengthening assessment, communication and ethical practice. It also provides a pathway toward further postgraduate study, including ECU’s Master of Counselling, as a Graduate Certificate in counselling.
