The learning outcomes are aligned with national standards, including the National Cancer Nursing Education Project (EdCaN) standards.

The qualification supports progression into more advanced clinical practice in areas such as oncology wards, outpatient cancer services, chemotherapy/infusion settings, and related cancer care units. It can also provide a pathway to further postgraduate nursing study and advanced practice roles.

This course is for Registered Nurses who are currently practising and looking to specialise in cancer nursing. Participants must be working a minimum of 24 hours (3 days) per week in an area of cancer care and be nominated by their employer to take part in the course.
