Learn to assess, diagnose and treat communication and swallowing disorders across the lifespan. The program blends inquiry-based learning, simulation and supervised clinical placements in settings such as hospitals, schools, private practice and UQ’s Speech Pathology Clinic. You’ll build culturally responsive, evidence-based intervention skills to support speech, language, voice, fluency, cognition and swallowing. This is an undergraduate honours degree in Speech Pathology.

Graduates can work as speech pathologists supporting people with communication and swallowing needs, from infants to older adults. Employment spans hospitals, community and disability services, schools and education settings, rehabilitation services, aged care, private practice and multidisciplinary health teams.
