This double degree combines design and engineering studies to build complementary creative and technical capabilities. You will undertake a full set of engineering units alongside design studies, with choice of design major aligned to your interests. The course is delivered across QUT’s Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses and is completed over five years full-time as an undergraduate honours qualification in design and engineering. The programme combines engineering fundamentals, design projects, and industry-ready technical problem-solving skills.

Graduates can pursue roles that bridge product/service design and engineering, working in multidisciplinary teams across industries such as manufacturing, technology, infrastructure and the built environment. Potential pathways include design engineering, product development, user-focused systems and interaction outcomes, and technical design leadership depending on the chosen design major. This is an undergraduate honours double degree in design and engineering. Preparing graduates for graduate engineer, project support, and technical design roles across engineering sectors.
