The Master of Teaching Primary prepares graduates with a non-education bachelor degree to become qualified primary teachers. Study on campus or online, full-time or part-time, with flexibility to change modes. You’ll develop skills to plan engaging learning for diverse learners, including Indigenous students, and learn to integrate ICT to support teaching and learning. The course includes 60 days of supervised professional experience in primary schools as a master-level initial teacher education program.

Graduates are prepared for employment as primary school teachers across Australian states and territories (subject to registration requirements). The degree builds professional knowledge and practice to plan, deliver and assess learning, work with diverse school communities, and contribute as an active educator with potential to progress into coordination or leadership roles. Outcomes align with master-level preparation for primary teaching within the Education & Teaching discipline. Preparing graduates for education leadership, instructional design, and advanced teaching specialist roles.
