关于课程
This two-year full-time program immerses students in the interdisciplinary field of materials science, linking chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering and biology. You explore how material properties drive real-world applications across technology, health, engineering and environmental sectors. The degree combines advanced coursework with research-focused project work to build both theoretical depth and practical capability.
你可能学到什么
You will develop a rigorous foundation in core materials science concepts while building specialist knowledge aligned to current global challenges. Learning spans areas such as renewable energy and batteries, nanomaterials and sensing, biomaterials and tissue engineering, and sustainable material design. The program emphasises multidisciplinary problem-solving, research design, and communicating scientific work effectively.
职业成果
Graduates are prepared for roles applying or developing advanced materials in research and industry settings. Career directions include materials scientist, R&D specialist, laboratory/research officer, product or process development roles, and technical positions in energy storage, nanotechnology, advanced manufacturing, biomedical/biomaterials, and sustainability-focused materials sectors. The research project experience supports pathways into further research training or PhD study.
Entry requirements
Applicants must hold a Bachelor degree (or international equivalent) with a minimum GPA of 5.0/7.0. They also need at least 8 courses in a cognate discipline, with a minimum GPA of 5.0/7.0 across those relevant subjects.
