关于课程
The ANU Juris Doctor is a graduate-entry law degree for students without an Australian law qualification. It combines compulsory foundations with a wide choice of electives, including JD and selected LLM/LLB offerings. The curriculum meets the academic requirements set by Australian Legal Practitioners Admission Boards, and can be taken full-time or part-time with semester-based entry points.
你可能学到什么
Students develop core knowledge of Australian legal institutions and major doctrinal areas such as contracts, torts, public and constitutional law, criminal law, property, equity and evidence. The program builds skills in legal research, writing and analysis through research-led coursework and substantial written assessment, and culminates in a capstone or clinic/internship style experience applying legal knowledge to complex problems.
职业成果
Graduates are prepared for careers in legal practice (subject to completing required practical training) and for law-related roles across government, policy, regulation and business. The degree supports pathways into areas such as litigation and dispute resolution, corporate and commercial practice, public law and administration, international law, and advocacy and community legal services through clinics and internships.
Entry requirements
Designed for graduates from non-law disciplines (or non-Australian law degrees). Applicants must meet ANU admission requirements for a graduate coursework award. Entry is available for full-time or part-time study, with commencement points in Semester 1 and Semester 2. Additional practical legal training is required after completion for admission to legal practice.
