关于课程
This Graduate Certificate draws on ANU’s links with Canberra’s major cultural and collecting institutions to prepare students for work in museums and heritage. It provides a focused introduction to cultural heritage management, museums and collections, and contemporary issues shaping the sector. The award can be completed as a standalone qualification or used as a pathway into the Master of Museum and Heritage Studies, and is offered part-time.
你可能学到什么
Students develop a critical understanding of museums, collecting agencies and their relationships to society, alongside key concepts in cultural heritage management and policy. The program builds skills in analysing and researching heritage and museum practice, engaging with debates in tangible and intangible heritage, and reflecting on professional and ethical issues. Learning is grounded in contemporary sector challenges and informed by ANU’s connections with cultural institutions.
职业成果
Graduates may pursue roles across museums, galleries, archives, and heritage organisations in areas such as collections and exhibitions support, public programs, heritage policy and administration, or cultural heritage management. The qualification also supports professional upskilling for those already working in cultural institutions and provides a pathway to further postgraduate study in museum and heritage studies, strengthening prospects in government, NGOs, and the cultural sector.
Entry requirements
Applicants need a Bachelor degree (or international equivalent) with a minimum GPA of 4.0/7. All applicants must also meet ANU English language requirements and any program-specific criteria. Admission is competitive, so meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee an offer; applicants may be ranked using GPA calculations and, where relevant, stronger English proficiency.
