ECU Online’s Graduate Certificate of Mental Wellbeing builds foundational knowledge and practical skills to support mental health and wellbeing in communities, workplaces and therapeutic contexts. In as little as six months part-time, you’ll study fully online and develop approaches that also strengthen your own resilience. The course can provide a pathway into ECU Online’s Master of Mental Health with credit, at graduate-certificate level in psychology/mental health.

You will learn to communicate specialised mental health knowledge to different audiences, support your own wellbeing in practice, and use critical thinking to analyse complex mental health situations. You’ll also develop self-management and creativity by designing, planning and evaluating initiatives that promote positive mental health outcomes, aligned to graduate-certificate level study in mental wellbeing and psychology.

This course supports roles where mental wellbeing knowledge strengthens practice across community services, workplaces and helping professions. Graduates can apply foundational mental health and counselling-informed approaches, contribute to wellbeing initiatives, and communicate mental health concepts to diverse stakeholders. It can also support progression to further postgraduate study in mental health. Outcomes align with graduate-certificate level preparation for mental wellbeing-focused work in psychology-adjacent settings.
Entry requirements
A bachelor’s degree in any discipline; or equivalent prior learning including at least five years of relevant professional experience.
