This double degree prepares you for two in-demand health careers, combining midwifery and nursing theory with extensive hands-on practice. You’ll build core healthcare knowledge and develop clinical skills using simulated learning environments before undertaking many weeks of supported placement with real patients. Graduates are eligible to register and practise as both a registered midwife and a registered nurse in nursing. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.

Graduates can pursue careers across maternity and broader health services, supporting women through pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal care as well as working in general nursing settings. Pathways include roles in hospitals, maternity units, community and women’s health services, and other clinical environments requiring dual-qualified practitioners. This Bachelor Degree in Nursing supports employment as a registered nurse and registered midwife. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
