This double degree combines human rights advocacy with criminology and criminal justice, exploring rights in domestic and global contexts alongside the causes and impacts of crime and the policies that shape justice systems. You will build interdisciplinary knowledge across law, ethics, politics and criminal justice, with topics such as forensic psychology, cybercrime, border protection, violence and trauma. It prepares you for bachelor-level work in human rights and criminal justice in Australia and internationally.

Graduates may work across human rights and criminal justice settings, including domestic and international NGOs, advocacy and humanitarian services, policy and program development, and social services. Career pathways can also include roles in policing (state/territory/federal), immigration and border protection, community corrections and reintegration support. Communication-focused roles such as investigative journalism, foreign correspondence and research are also relevant for this bachelor-level double degree in law and justice.
