This Honours year is an additional fourth year for high-achieving graduates in health and human sciences, designed to build research capability and demonstrate research potential. You’ll undertake basic research training and complete a supervised research project, helping prepare you for entry into postgraduate research pathways. Availability depends on securing an appropriate Honours supervisor in your proposed topic within Health Sciences at Honours level. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.

Graduates gain research training and experience designing and completing a supervised project in health and human sciences. This can support pathways into postgraduate research degrees and roles that value evidence-based practice, evaluation and research assistance in health services, community and human services, or related organisations. The qualification strengthens readiness for further research study in Health Sciences at Honours level. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
