The Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) is a future-focused program designed to develop culturally aware actors for international stage and screen. It provides intensive, conservatoire-style studio training to prepare students for professional work across theatre, film, television and digital media, including animation and gaming. Students develop their practice through small-class, workshop-based learning, rehearsals, and public productions, complemented by breadth subjects from across the University.

Students build a strong command of core acting skills including body, voice and movement, and gain experience performing across diverse contexts for stage and screen. The course develops an adaptable acting methodology for work as an autonomous artist and as an ensemble/company actor. Graduates are prepared for acting careers across professional theatre and screen industries, including film, television and emerging digital media. The training also supports pathways into community arts and education settings where performance and facilitation skills are valued. Graduates may also pursue further study, including an honours year as a pathway toward advanced graduate study in acting.
