This combined degree develops professional engineering capability alongside medical science foundations, linking engineering methods with human biology from molecules to whole-body systems. You choose either Biomedical Engineering or Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, complete core maths and computing, multidisciplinary projects and electives, and undertake an honours thesis. The program also includes professional engagement activities and work experience, building industry readiness in engineering and medical science at bachelor/honours level.

Graduates can pursue roles where engineering and medical science intersect, including biomedical and biomolecular engineering, bioprocessing and biomanufacturing, medical technologies, diagnostics and therapeutics development, and research-led product innovation.
