Electrical and Electronic Engineering at UWA is an undergraduate major focused on designing and testing electrical and electronic devices, circuits and systems, and on the generation and transmission of information and electric power. You’ll develop problem-solving skills and consider broader real-world constraints such as sustainability, safety, economics and ethics. The course is designed to build industry-ready capability through practical, applied engineering study in electrical engineering.

Graduates can pursue roles across electrical and electronics industries including power and energy, communications and signal processing, embedded and electronic systems, automation and control, and technology development for health and community needs. Typical pathways include electrical/electronics engineer, power systems engineer, control/automation engineer, communications engineer or design/test engineer. This is a four-year undergraduate pathway in Engineering – Electrical. Preparing graduates for graduate engineer, project support, and technical design roles across engineering sectors.
