General English at UOW College Australia helps students build practical English for everyday life, work and leisure at a pace that suits them. The program offers five study levels with strong focus on listening, reading, writing and speaking, using real-world social, travel, professional and academic scenarios. You study in an interactive environment with activities and excursions, with 20 hours of formal lessons per week. This is a non-award English language program in English & Modern Languages.

This General English program builds communication skills you can apply in daily life and in workplaces where English is required. Graduates may be better prepared for customer service and administrative support roles, and for interacting confidently in multicultural teams and community settings. The course can also support progression to further English study or pathway programs before entering tertiary education. This is an Others-level course focused on English & Modern Languages. Preparing graduates for education-related roles and further study pathways matched to the programme level.
