This two-year, interdisciplinary master’s program prepares you to tackle complex challenges in agriculture under climate and resource pressures. You combine advanced coursework with a supervised research project, drawing on strengths across ANU and industry partners. Study can integrate environmental management, business, computing, biology, engineering and systems modelling to design practical innovations for agrifood systems and policy.

The embedded thesis also supports progression to research-focused careers or further study.
Entry requirements
Applicants typically need a relevant bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline. The program includes a substantial research component, so applicants should have strong academic performance and be able to meet any additional requirements for research supervision/approval where applicable. English language proficiency requirements apply for international applicants, consistent with ANU graduate admission standards.
