Designed as a postgraduate pathway for registered nurses, the Master of Midwifery (Graduate Entry) develops the knowledge and clinical capability required to gain a midwifery qualification in one year. The course prepares you to provide safe, effective and culturally responsive care across a range of maternity and health care settings. This is a Master coursework qualification in Nursing focused on midwifery practice. The programme develops advanced clinical reasoning, health leadership, and evidence-based practice for complex care environments.

On completion, graduates can seek registration as a midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra). You’ll be prepared to work as a registered midwife across diverse maternity services and health care settings, contributing to safe, effective and culturally responsive care and supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. This is a Master coursework qualification in Nursing leading to midwifery practice roles. Preparing graduates for clinical leadership, health management, and advanced nursing or allied health specialist roles.
