UniReady Extended is a fully online, fee-free pathway for regional Western Australian students or those facing barriers to entry, designed to support transition into Curtin undergraduate study. It builds on the UniReady Enabling Program and offers structured learning with strong academic support. Students choose an Engineering or Health Sciences stream to strengthen discipline foundations and prepare for relevant first-year degrees at Curtin in Health Sciences. The programme introduces biology, chemistry, and academic skills for health sciences degree entry.

You’ll build foundational knowledge aligned to your chosen stream (such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, engineering concepts or health). You’ll also develop academic and professional study skills including research, referencing, integrity and science communication, use digital tools to interpret and present information, and apply critical thinking and inquiry-based approaches to investigate health and science issues to support transition into undergraduate study.

UniReady Extended is an enabling pathway rather than a direct professional qualification, preparing you to progress into Curtin undergraduate degrees. Depending on your chosen stream, it supports entry to Engineering programs (leading to roles across engineering industries) or Health degrees such as nutrition, pharmacy, midwifery, paramedicine and allied health pathways. This Foundation Studies course provides a supported entry route into health sciences or engineering-related undergraduate study. Supporting progression into undergraduate Nursing and Health Sciences degree programmes.
