关于课程
This one-year graduate diploma is designed for graduates from any discipline seeking to upskill quickly for computing roles, as well as computing graduates wanting to refresh and extend their skills. It builds a strong foundation in problem solving, programming and relevant mathematics, while allowing exploration of specialist computer science areas. High-performing students may be eligible for credit toward the Master of Computing, supporting a smooth pathway to further study.
你可能学到什么
You will develop core computing capability in structured programming, software construction and discrete mathematical thinking, building the analytical skills needed for advanced computing study or entry-level industry work. The program emphasises practical problem solving, sound programming practice and professional awareness, and provides elective space to investigate areas of interest within computer science. It is intended to rapidly broaden or refresh technical skills for career change or progression.
职业成果
Graduates can pursue entry-level roles across the IT and software sector, supported by foundations in programming, software development and mathematical problem solving. Typical pathways include junior software developer or engineer roles, programming and application support, technical analyst positions, and further postgraduate study leading to more specialised careers. The qualification is also suited to professionals from other disciplines who want computing skills to complement their existing field and move into technology-focused work.
Entry requirements
Applicants need either a Bachelor degree (or equivalent) with a minimum GPA of 4.0/7.0, or an AQF 6 qualification (Advanced Diploma/Associate Degree or equivalent) plus at least 3 years relevant work experience, or at least 10 years’ work experience in an ANZSCO Skill Level 1 role.
