This course prepares qualified educators and career changers to become early childhood teachers who can create inclusive learning environments for young children. It emphasises teaching as an ethical and political practice, foregrounding Indigenous worldviews and sustainability in early years education. Students also complete 60 days of placement across multiple early childhood education settings.

Students develop the knowledge and practical skills to plan and deliver rich educational experiences for children in early childhood settings. The course builds capability in inclusive practice, embedding Indigenous ways of knowing and being, and supporting children’s relationships with the environment. It also develops professional readiness through supervised placements and engagement with current research and practice.
职业成果
Graduates can work in Australian early childhood education and care settings with children from birth to age five. The qualification can also support employment as an early childhood teacher for children up to age eight, subject to additional registration requirements. Career pathways include roles as an early childhood teacher and educator in early learning centres and related early years services.
