This Arts Education Major (Drama) develops the discipline knowledge and teaching methods needed to teach Drama in senior secondary (Years 11–12) and across The Arts curriculum from Years 7–12. You’ll build capability in drama pedagogy and curriculum design while also selecting a second teaching-area specialisation to broaden your employability and classroom scope within a Bachelor of Education (Secondary Education) pathway in Education & Teaching. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.

Graduates are prepared for secondary teaching roles with a focus on Drama, supporting delivery of Drama and wider Arts learning across Years 7–12. The major supports careers in schools as a Drama teacher and Arts educator, and can complement a second teaching specialisation to expand opportunities in secondary settings.
