Bachelor of Applied Public Health (Honours)

This honours year builds on prior undergraduate public health study and develops advanced research capability. You’ll work closely with an academic supervisor, strengthen research principles and methods, and complete a substantial project in an area of interest. The course is designed to prepare graduates for further higher degree study and research-informed professional practice in applied public health at bachelor honours level. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.

Graduates may progress to postgraduate health or research programs and pursue roles across public health promotion and community services. Opportunities include project or program officer work, advocacy and policy support, health education and communications, and pathways toward epidemiology-oriented roles. Employment settings can include hospitals, community health centres, government agencies, NGOs, education providers, and health-related industry as a Bachelor of Applied Public Health (Honours) graduate.
