This honours year builds on prior nursing studies by developing advanced research and evaluation capabilities. You will investigate a topic of professional interest in depth, learn research methods and data management, and complete a supervised research project and thesis. The course supports pathways into specialised practice, advanced professional training and higher degrees. This is a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in Nursing. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.

Graduates can strengthen eligibility for senior and research-informed nursing and midwifery roles by demonstrating high-level enquiry, evaluation and evidence-based practice skills. Opportunities may arise across acute and sub-acute care, emergency, aged care, paediatrics and rehabilitation, as well as government, health services, education and industry settings.
