Designed for school leavers, this bachelor provides a structured pathway toward becoming a doctor through the Regional Medical Pathway partnership between CQUniversity, The University of Queensland and regional health services. You study on campus in Rockhampton or Bundaberg and, subject to meeting progression requirements, can gain a guaranteed entry route into UQ’s regionally based Doctor of Medicine. This is an undergraduate medical science pathway program. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.

This course is intended as the first stage toward a medical career, providing preparation for progression into a Doctor of Medicine program and subsequent clinical training in regional hospital and health services. Graduates typically continue into postgraduate medical study and, over time, may work as doctors in regional settings and progress into specialist training pathways. This is a Bachelor-level pathway in medicine. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
