This double degree combines an accredited Bachelor of Laws with studies in politics and journalism, building legal knowledge alongside an understanding of current affairs and public debate. You’ll study core “Priestley” law subjects and develop practical skills such as legal research, advocacy and dispute resolution, supported by small classes and access to experienced practitioner-academics. The program prepares you for a Bachelor-level pathway in Law and related public-facing fields.

Graduates may pursue pathways toward legal practice (subject to further requirements) and roles where legal insight supports public decision-making and communication. Career directions can include lawyer or legal assistant roles, policy or political advisory work in government, compliance and governance roles, and journalism or media positions covering courts, politics and public affairs. This degree supports Bachelor-level careers across Law, politics and media/communications contexts. Preparing graduates for legal practice, paralegal, compliance, and public sector legal support roles.
