ACU’s Bachelor of Human Rights develops a multidisciplinary understanding of human rights, drawing on law, philosophy and the humanities. You’ll learn to analyse rights issues and apply knowledge in practical professional contexts, including completing a placement in the human rights sector. The degree prepares graduates to contribute across corporate, government and non-government organisations as informed advocates. This is an undergraduate bachelor degree in human rights and law-related studies.

Graduates can work across advocacy and humanitarian services, including domestic or international advocacy, disaster relief, policy development and volunteer coordination. Pathways also include human rights, international, immigration and diversity/equity-focused legal fields, as well as roles in social services, public health and economic development policy. Opportunities extend to international relations (diplomacy, peacekeeping, foreign affairs) and communications such as investigative journalism and research.
