Health science focuses on improving community health and responding to major public health challenges such as obesity, harmful alcohol and drug use, and pandemics. At ECU you’ll build skills to assess and monitor health issues and apply evidence-informed intervention strategies. The degree includes industry experience through a final-year work placement and lets you choose one or more majors to tailor learning to your interests in health. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.

Graduates can pursue roles supporting community and population health initiatives across government, non-profit and private organisations.
