The Bachelor of Accounting is designed to build knowledge and skills in reporting, analysing and managing financial resources in business and government entities. It meets the education requirements for membership of Australian accounting professional bodies and provides flexibility to take related studies such as finance, business information systems, management, marketing, international business and corporate sustainability. Students develop the ability to critically analyse emerging accounting issues informed by professional and scholarly research.

Students develop core technical accounting capabilities across financial reporting, management accounting, auditing and taxation, alongside commercial law and quantitative methods. The program aims to strengthen critical analysis and judgement on contemporary accounting issues, including understanding the drivers behind accounting numbers. It also supports broader business competence through electives that can extend into related disciplines.
职业成果
Graduates can pursue careers in professional accounting and finance across public practice, corporate, government and not-for-profit sectors. Typical pathways include roles in financial accounting and reporting, management accounting, audit and assurance, taxation, and accounting information systems. The degree can also support progression to advanced accounting study and professional accreditation with Australian accounting bodies.
Entry requirements
At a minimum, all applicants must meet program-specific academic/non-academic requirements, and English language requirements. Admission to most ANU programs is on a competitive basis. ATAR 80. IB 30.
