关于课程
The Master of Statistical Data Analysis provides rigorous training in statistical theory and applied methods to help you make sound inferences from data across many fields. Designed for graduates seeking professional statistical capability, the program builds strong analytical foundations and practical modelling skills relevant to modern, data-driven organisations. It is delivered in person through the ANU College of Business and Economics and can be completed in one year full-time.
你可能学到什么
You will develop advanced skills in regression modelling and mathematical statistics, supported by electives in areas such as time series, stochastic processes, Bayesian analysis and statistical learning. The program strengthens your ability to design analyses, select appropriate models, interpret results and communicate findings clearly. Study options also allow you to broaden capability with related courses in computing, econometrics, optimisation, mathematics and public health data analysis.
职业成果
Graduates are prepared for roles requiring high-level statistical and data-analytics expertise across government, industry and research. Typical pathways include statistician, data analyst, quantitative analyst, biostatistician, risk or actuarial analytics roles, and modelling positions in finance, health, technology and policy. The combination of statistical theory and applied electives supports work in areas such as forecasting, machine learning, experimentation and evidence-based decision making.
Entry requirements
Applicants need a bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline with minimum GPA 5.0/7.0 and at least one mathematics course covering calculus and linear algebra. Alternative pathways include an ANU Graduate Certificate of Actuarial Statistics (minimum GPA 4.5) or a relevant graduate certificate/diploma with specified GPAs plus required maths background. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission due to competitive ranking and English requirements.
