关于课程
The Master of Epidemiology (MEpi) is designed to build advanced research capability in epidemiology for students who want to contribute to epidemiological or medical research without the broader subject range of a Master of Public Health. The program covers epidemiological and biostatistical theory and methods through integrated core subjects, and culminates in a substantial applied research report. It provides a strong platform for further graduate research study and for clinicians and health professionals seeking to strengthen research practice.
你可能学到什么
Students develop a solid foundation in epidemiological and analytical skills, including biostatistical methods used in research and practice. The course aims to build competence in critical appraisal and evidence-based investigation of the causes and spread of disease. Through an applied project, students strengthen their ability to design, analyse and communicate epidemiological research in a specialist area of interest.
职业成果
Graduates are prepared for roles that involve designing, appraising and conducting epidemiological studies in clinical and public health contexts. The qualification supports career pathways in medical and epidemiological research across universities, hospitals, government and health agencies, including as clinical researchers or epidemiology-focused research staff. It also provides a strong grounding for progression to a PhD or other graduate research programs.
Entry requirements
To be eligible, you need an honours degree, a medical degree, or a 3-year degree with relevant work experience (including at least two years relevant work experience for a 3-year degree).
