关于课程
Digital infrastructure engineers work on systems that connect the physical and digital world, designing infrastructure that supports sustainable and resilient outcomes across businesses, projects, asset management and ecosystems. The course addresses industry use of digital engineering tools such as Building Information Modelling (BIM), Internet of Things (IoT), Digital Twins and virtual reality across sectors including AEC, facilities management and humanitarian engineering. Students learn to capture and integrate spatial and observational data (e.g., from satellites, robots and laser scanning) with analytics to visualise and communicate patterns, processes and predictions.
你可能学到什么
Students develop the capability to design and manage digitally enabled infrastructure systems and strategies for the built environment and related sectors. They build skills in positioning and sensing, data integration, statistics, machine learning and simulation to support evidence-based decision-making and communication. The program also emphasises industry-aligned learning through opportunities such as internships, industry projects, and innovation challenges.
职业成果
Graduates can pursue roles that support the digital transformation of infrastructure across architecture, engineering and construction, facilities and asset management, smart cities, transport, energy, water and land management/surveying. They may work with BIM, IoT, digital twins, spatial data capture and analytics to improve planning, delivery, operations and resilience of infrastructure systems. Career paths can include digital infrastructure engineer, BIM/digital engineering specialist, digital twin or IoT-enabled asset professional, and infrastructure data/analytics roles in government, consultancies and industry.
