This Master of Architecture develops advanced architectural capability through study in history, theory, research, management, law and professional practice. You’ll integrate design with science, technology, culture and sustainability, and complete a major self-directed thesis in a specialised area. The course is the final stage in Curtin’s five-year academic pathway towards becoming a practising architect at master’s level in architecture. The programme strengthens advanced engineering design, systems analysis, and innovation management for complex industry projects.

Graduates are prepared for contemporary architectural practice focused on sustainable and resilient design and digitally enabled delivery. You’ll build skills in critical thinking, design technology and approaches such as building information modelling (BIM), with experience informed by community and built-environment projects. Career pathways span architecture practices and related built-environment roles including interior design and urban or regional planning after completing this master’s level architecture qualification.
