The Graduate Diploma of Public Health develops skills to investigate, critique and respond to real-world population health problems in local and global contexts. Taught with expertise from Menzies School of Health Research, it covers Indigenous and global health, public health practice and health research. You build capability in epidemiology, biostatistics and qualitative/quantitative methods, and learn to design and evaluate public health interventions and strategies.

Graduates may pursue roles across government and non-government sectors, applying public health methods to policy, planning and program delivery. Career pathways can include professional public health practice, epidemiology, health research, and communicable or chronic disease control. The qualification also supports work in community development and aid or NGO settings, using evidence to design, evaluate and improve population health initiatives in a graduate diploma context.
