This Certificate III prepares you to support students with diverse learning needs in school settings while working under the guidance of teachers and education professionals. You’ll build skills in assisting educational programs, maintaining student records, and providing targeted literacy and numeracy support. The course includes 120 hours of practical placement, with help to organise opportunities and complete required checks. This is a Certificate-level qualification in education support.

Graduates may work in primary or secondary school environments supporting student learning and inclusion. Typical roles include integration aide, learning support assistant, school learning and support officer, teacher assistant and teacher’s aide. Work focuses on assisting teachers with planned programs, supporting small groups or individual students (including additional needs), and contributing to a safe, supportive classroom. This is a Certificate III pathway into education support work.
