关于课程
The Graduate Certificate of Law at ANU College of Law, Governance and Policy provides an entry point to postgraduate legal study for non-law graduates and for overseas-qualified law graduates seeking grounding in Australian law. It can be completed as a stand-alone qualification or used as a pathway into the Master of Laws, with a flexible structure and a wide choice of electives taught by research-active staff.
你可能学到什么
Students build foundational understanding of Australian law and legal institutions while developing core legal reasoning and academic skills for further postgraduate study. The program includes a compulsory course in Law and Legal Institutions (with exemptions for those with an Australian law degree/JD equivalent) and elective 8000-level law courses, allowing students to tailor learning to their interests and goals.
职业成果
Graduates can use the qualification to support career development in roles that benefit from legal literacy, such as policy and government, regulatory and compliance functions, corporate governance, NGOs and advocacy, and public administration. For many students it also serves as a stepping stone to advanced postgraduate legal study, including progression to the Master of Laws, strengthening credentials for law-related and cross-disciplinary careers.
Entry requirements
Applicants need either a recognised Bachelor degree (or international equivalent) with a minimum GPA of 4.0/7.0, or at least 10 years’ work experience in an ANZSCO Skill Level 1 role. All applicants must also meet ANU English language requirements. Admission is competitive, so meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee an offer.
