关于课程
Molecular Genetics Major explores genetics and genomics and how advances in molecular genetics can improve health outcomes. You’ll combine scientific theory with practical laboratory training while studying molecular biology, human genetic disease, bioinformatics and genetic engineering. The major also introduces technologies used for molecular and genetic analysis and builds critical thinking and science communication skills for undergraduate science study. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.
职业成果
This major can support careers in biomedical and life-science settings where genetic and genomic methods are used. Graduates may work in laboratory and research environments, pathology and diagnostics support, biotechnology and bioinformatics teams, or health and medical research organisations. Skills in molecular analysis, genetic engineering concepts, and science communication can also suit roles in research support and technical services within undergraduate science pathways. Preparing graduates for laboratory technician, research assistant, and science-based industry entry roles.
